The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring & tuning Snowflake & Azure databases across Corporate Services team. This role will be part of the Corporate Architecture & Analytics team.

Responsibilities:

- Influence information strategy by partnering with business & IT stakeholders rationalization of the information value chain & providing strategic recommendations
- Develop conceptual and physical data models as well as flow diagrams to illustrate current and future state architecture
- Analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers.
- Act as subject matter expert on all aspects of the data architecture, including data orchestration, large data processing, security & scalability
- Evangelise modern data approaches & technologies as well as Cloud architecture across the organization
- Guide and mentor development teams on modern data engineering & design best practices




- Establish good data modelling principles and effective data quality standards
- Robust communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of experience building distributed data and analytics platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.
- 5+ years of experience with managing Snowflake databases as well as performance tuning & optimizations. SnowPro Certification is desired.
- Deep understanding of data warehouses, lake houses & streaming solutions in Azure & Snowflake
- Expertise in Data modelling using dimension modelling & data vault methodologies
- Strong hands-on expertise in database & query performance tuning SQL queries and database best practices

Experience with modern data engineering technologies such as python, Spark, Airflow

- Hands-on experience working with relational and NoSQL technologies (such as Oracle, Postgres, Mongo DB, etc.)

Experience with Devops and CI/CD technologies (such as Terraform, Github Actions, Docker)

9.

Experience in financial industry or banking is a plus
