Composites & Structures Technician | Apollyon Dynamics Private Limited

About the Role:

We are looking for a Composites & Structures Technician to build airframe and structural components for our unmanned aerial platforms. You will work directly with the design team on mould layup, resin systems and finishing, taking parts from raw material to flight-ready structure with responsibility for strength, weight and surface quality. This is a hands-on shop-floor role in a fast-paced R&D; environment, with shift-based working.

Responsibilities

- Perform hand layup, wet layup and vacuum bagging of composite structures (carbon fibre, fibreglass, aramid)
- Prepare, maintain and release moulds/tooling for layup operations
- Mix and apply resins, hardeners and matrix systems per process specifications and ratios
- Monitor curing cycles (oven/autoclave) and ensure process compliance
- Trim, sand and surface-finish composite parts to specified tolerance and finish standards
- Bond and assemble composite sub-structures using structural adhesives and bonding techniques
- Inspect parts for defects (voids, delamination, porosity, dry spots) and rework as needed




- Support related machining and cutting operations on composite and structural parts using standard shop tools
- Maintain tooling, consumables and workshop housekeeping/safety standards
- Work with the design team on manufacturability and process improvement

Requirements

- Hands-on experience in composite layup (hand layup/wet layup, vacuum bagging)
- Working knowledge of resins, matrix systems, hardeners and mixing ratios
- Experience with mould preparation, release agents and mould maintenance
- Skilled in surface finishing — sanding, filling, trimming to specified finish
- Familiarity with basic machining and hand tools
- Ability to read engineering drawings and process sheets
- ITI, Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Production/Composite Engineering
- Willingness to work in shifts and in a fast-paced, R&D-driven; environment
- Willingness to join as soon as possible

Positive to Have

- Experience with prepreg composites or autoclave curing
- Exposure to aerospace or defence composite structures
- Experience with structural bonding/assembly of UAV airframes
