Job Description - Clinical Psychologist

Project: NAPDDR Scheme
Locations: Central Jails at Ferozepur, Faridkot, Bathinda, Amritsar & Sri Gowinwal Sahib, Punjab
Number of Posts: 06
Remuneration: ₹50,000/- per month

Educational Qualification
M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from an RCI-recognized institute.
Valid CCR (Central Clinical Registration) Number issued by RCI.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessment and counselling of inmates.
Provide individual and group therapy for mental health and substance abuse issues.
Support de-addiction, rehabilitation, and behavioural management programs under NAPDDR.
Handle crisis intervention, stress management, suicide prevention, and emotional support cases.
Maintain case records, assessment reports,



and progress documentation.
Coordinate with Jail Authorities, Medical Officers, Psychiatrists, and rehabilitation teams.
Conduct awareness sessions on mental health, drug abuse prevention, and rehabilitation.
Ensure confidentiality, ethical practices, and compliance with RCI and departmental guidelines.

Preferred Experience
Experience in mental health, de-addiction, counselling, rehabilitation, or correctional institutions shall be preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
