Key Responsibilities
Import Operations
Prepare import documentation, including filing the Import General Manifest (IGM).
Collect delivery orders from ODEX/shipping lines.
Coordinate with shipping lines for payments and timely collection of delivery orders.
Liaise with Customs House Agents (CHA) for clearance of goods.
Prepare and circulate daily service reports to customers.
Manage complete EXIM processes from initiation to closure.
Documentation & Compliance
Oversee preparation of shipping documents: Bill of Lading (BL), Air Waybill (AWB), invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, and EXIM regulations.
Collaborate with CHA to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Client & Vendor Management
Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, shipping lines, and service providers.
Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and service complaints.
Negotiate freight rates and service contracts to optimize costs.
Pricing & Cost Optimization
Source competitive rates for export/import shipments from liners and forwarders.
Evaluate quotations and finalize cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
