Role Summary:
Main Tasks:
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Maintain and optimize database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Ensure database security through access control, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management.
Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability wherever necessary.
Develop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Participate in Change management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
Positive to have Management and support of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence as an administrator
Working Knowledge about O365

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Robust hands-on experience with enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).




Experience in database security practices including role-based access, encryption, and compliance.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation and monitoring.
Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and monitoring platforms (Icinga, Splunk, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and container technologies is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Flexibility to work in US business hours (EST)
