A oversees daily operational execution, staff management, and productivity targets during a specific work shift.

Job Summary The Shift In-Charge manages all activities during an assigned shift, ensuring safety compliance, optimal production or service levels, and high quality standards. This role coordinates team members, resolves immediate operational hurdles, and reports key performance metrics to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervision & Allocation: Assign tasks, manage workflows, and direct workers on the shop floor or operational area.

- Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and company protocols to maintain a secure working workplace.

- Quality Control: Monitor outputs or service delivery to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot minor equipment or personnel issues immediately and escalate major obstacles.

- Shift Handover: Document shift progress, log metrics,



and conduct structured handovers for incoming shifts.

- Training & Mentoring: Guide new hires and provide ongoing coaching to improve team capability.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor, or in a relevant industrial/production setting.

- Leadership Skills: Strong capacity to delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and motivate teams under pressure.

- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for daily reporting and inter-departmental coordination.

- Education: High school diploma; technical or management degree (B.Sc / Diploma / B.E.) preferred depending on the industry.
