Job Description
Leading end-to-end procurement of raw materials, intermediates and speciality chemical feed stocks required for manufacturing.
Developing and executing sourcing strategies for key materials such as acrylic-based raw materials, nitrogen-containing chemicals and other process-critical chemical intermediates.
Managing international sourcing and imports, including supplier identification, commercial negotiations, supply planning and delivery coordination.
Owning quality, cost competitiveness and continuity of supply.
Monitoring global chemical markets, pricing and supply dynamics to identify cost Saving and alternate sourcing opportunities




Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely availability and technical suitability of critical raw materials.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should have:
10+ years of direct procurement experience in chemical raw materials/speciality chemicals
Hands-on exposure to imports/international suppliers, high-volume procurement and significant annual spends
Preferably a degree/diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
Candidates from speciality chemicals, paints/coatings, water treatment, mining chemicals, agro-chemicals or other chemical-consuming manufacturing businesses will be relevant
