Position Summary:

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the design and development of software to meet business requirements whilst positively influencing other staff, development practices and department processes.

Our Development Team provides bespoke software solutions to support and improve our business. These solutions are designed and developed "from the ground up" enabling a long term, future proof and fit for purpose solution. The new Senior Software Developer will bring their proven full stack development experience to a creative, innovative, flexible, and pro-active team. The development practices of the team are agile and pragmatic. We’re looking for like-minded people who want to both learn and help develop practices that make us become more and more successful.

Our Ideal Person will bring:

- Experience in a full-stack development role
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
- Technology languages: C# and WPF

**NB – The company currently operate on the WPF framework – but we are working towards next generation systems.



Your knowledge of WPF is a key component in this role and the system transition -therefore your experience in this framework will be our main focus when reviewing your application.

- Proven experience with Microsoft SQL
- Proven experience using the NET core framework / .NET Framework
- Essential technology languages: C# , WPF & Angular JS (please ensure your CV details your level of exposure to these technologies)
- Front end WEB development experience is desirable
- Previous experience working with an in-house development team
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills & strong numerological/mathematical skills
- A commitment to a full-time site-based role in New Delhi – working hours somewhat reflective of UTC
- Previous experience working with a UK based business
- Shared ideas, an open and honest approach, and a desire to be fully immersed in collaboration & contribution

In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for building in depth and excellent knowledge of Europa Software Systems and a true understanding of Europa Business areas and practices
- Produce code that is performant, well formatted, efficient, easily readable, maintainable, and appropriately commented
- Participate in code reviews of your own work and lead code reviews of other team member work to ensure a high level of quality
- Contribute to the development of system design policies, standards and selection of architectural components
- Adopt and adapt system design methods, tools and techniques




- Attend and participate in daily stand ups, design and specification meetings, showcases and retrospectives as part of the AGILE work practices of the development team
- Leverage AGILE/XP principles to understand and suggest improvements to the development process
- Take initiative to utilise libraries; pair programming, modern language features and tools where appropriate to solve problems efficiently, whilst adopting a pragmatic approach to solution design
