Our Team: Powertrain Design (Axles & Transmission Design)
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Design of rear axle & final drive components (Housings, Gears, Shafts, wheel-hub; Casted & forged housings)
Design based on functional, durability, packaging & manufacturing requirements and development of proto parts with suppliers for testing.
Collaborate with cross functional teams & develop axle components with suppliers.
Works on problems of complex scope, through extensive usage of standard concepts & principles
Bring in ideas for process improvements and cost optimization
Bring in ideas for innovation relevant to the project module
Developing trusting relationship with partners in close collaboration with the team
Interacting in and across department (project-related)
Working with internal and consulting external engineers
Qualifications

Domain: Axle Design & Development
Education: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/ Automotive
Overall Experience: Minimum 3 years in automotive OEM or Tier 1
Subject Knowledge:
Expertise in rear axle design, GD&T;, drawing specifications.
Solid NX design skill is mandatory.
Valuable knowledge of axle and transmission components
NX CAE simulation - structural , axle system and components
Knowledge & experience in designing cutting-edge & cost-competitive axle and final drive systems based on functional, packaging, durability & manufacturing requirements
Knowledge & experience in design of axle components (Housings, Gears, Shafts; Casting, forging, Sheet metal components)
Experience in development of prototypes with suppliers and functional testing
Knowledge of GD&T; and drawing specifications
Knowledge of CAE simulation (especially structural static load) and validation will be an added advantage.
Modeling Software: Siemens NX 2 years minimum (Modules: Solid Modelling, Sheet Metal, Tubing/Mechanical routing, Drafting, CAE- Structural)
PLM tool: Ex
