This position manages and drives front-line client relationships, provides strategic and tactical advice, and is responsible for the implementation of communications solutions. This position also serves as the day–to-day contact with key journalists/influencers on behalf of the client. As a key contributor on an account team, an AE may manage and mentor AAEs, ACs and interns. This role is based in Mumbai, India.

- Serve as day-to-day contact with influential on client’s behalf
- Conduct research, understand and anticipate journalists/influencers interests, needs and preferences in order to provide value-added service to editors, to brief clients and to ultimately build relationships
- Proactively negotiate client inclusion in coverage and propose story ideas, benchmark criteria for product reviews, educate on broader marketplace themes and schedule meetings
- Facilitate press meetings, press events and lead press/analysts tours. Keep the flow of the client presentation and interview on track. Provide influential with relevant information and resources
- Understand the client’s business and industry by reading business plans and key publications, researching the marketplace, attending meetings, and asking questions
- Develop and present PR plans that clarify business goals, situation analysis, challenges, solutions,



measurement criteria and fiscal planning
- Develop organized professional written materials and email that provide “value-add” relevance to client’s business
- Understand and meet company’s guidelines on best business practices including utilization, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports etc
- Add information to database based on coverage, contact with and research of influential.

Requirements

- Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing is preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in PR, preferably in an agency setting
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships
- Good understanding of what media values. Ability to establish business press editor and analyst relationships
- Excellent writing skills with track record in drafting and preparing press materials
- Strong time management skills and able to meet and fulfil editorial deadlines
- Capable in managing multiple projects/events simultaneously under set deadlines
- A valuable team player with ability to deal with all level of individuals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Proficient in computer and general business applications such MS Office
