9 Star Broking is a SEBI-registered stock broking firm building out an in-house product and engineering function. We're growing from a vendor-dependent setup — trading, mutual funds, and back-office all built and hosted by third parties — into a company with real product ownership over the experience our clients use every day.

The Role

We're hiring our first Senior Product Manager to own the product vision, roadmap, and day-to-day prioritization for 9 Star's client-facing products — not just for one project, but as the person who defines how we do product here as the team grows. You'll work closely with a technical lead who owns architecture and execution; your job is to make sure the right things get built in the right order, grounded in real client needs and real technical/vendor constraints, not guesswork.

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor PM role reporting directly into leadership, with real autonomy and no existing product process to inherit — you're setting it up.

What we are looking for

- 5+ years of product management experience, with real ownership of a consumer or B2C fintech-adjacent product from roadmap through shipped features — not just a feature-factory PM role
- Comfort operating with genuine ambiguity and incomplete information — this project involves real, unresolved vendor/API questions, and the role is partly about driving those to resolution, not waiting for someone else to hand you clean requirements
- Strong technical fluency: you don't need to write code, but you need to understand API constraints, what's realistically buildable natively vs. what needs a vendor hand-off,



and be able to have a real conversation with engineering about trade-offs
- Experience translating a messy current-state (multiple legacy systems, inconsistent data, unclear ownership) into a clear, sequenced roadmap
- A track record of direct, unglamorous stakeholder work — pushing vendors for API access, negotiating scope with leadership, saying no to good ideas that don't fit the current phase
- Sharp written communication — this role will produce the specs, roadmaps, and decision documents the rest of the team builds from

Nice to have, not required

- Prior experience in broking, trading platforms, wealth management, or fintech more broadly
- Familiarity with SEBI-regulated product constraints (KYC, compliance disclosures, audit requirements)
- Experience managing a product through a legacy-to-contemporary platform migration, specifically
