Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and development of mechanical spares and components for rotating and reciprocating equipment, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing detailed machine designs, preparing engineering drawings and 3D models, and collaborating with production teams to resolve technical issues on the shop floor. The role involves driving research and development initiatives for new products and refurbishment techniques, troubleshooting equipment failures, and optimizing existing designs based on field feedback.

Engineer will coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines,



and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. This is a full-time, in office role based in Gujarat, India.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- Proficiency in Machine Design for industrial components, including stress analysis, material selection, and design for manufacturability.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and documentation for engineering projects.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D;), particularly in improving designs, refurbishment methods, and performance of mechanical spares.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in heavy industries, compressors, pumps, turbines, or similar rotary equipment is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret engineering standards and specifications, and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with shop-floor and cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; familiarity with local languages in Gujarat is an advantage.
