Job Title: Senior Manager - Training & Placement

Job Summary:

The Training & Development Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills, employability, and overall career readiness of MBA/PGDM students. This role requires strong industry understanding, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with academic, placement, and corporate teams to ensure students are industry-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Strategy & Planning

- Develop annual training calendars aligned with placement goals
- Identify skill gaps among students through assessments and feedback
- Design training modules for aptitude, soft skills, communication, GD/PI, business analytics basics, and corporate readiness

2. Program Development & Delivery





- Create and deliver training sessions, workshops, and masterclasses
- Introduce new-age modules such as digital marketing, AI basics, industry tools, and domain-specific skills
- Coordinate with external trainers, industry experts, and corporate partners

3. Student Development & Tracking

- Conduct assessments, mock interviews, GDs, and case-study-based evaluations
- Maintain student progress reports and share insights with management
- Provide one-on-one mentoring for weak performers

4. Industry Collaboration

- Work closely with the placement team to understand industry needs
- Ensure training outcomes match employer expectations
- Arrange corporate talks, bootcamps, and certification programs

5. Process & Quality Management

- Standardize training processes, frameworks, and evaluation methods.
- Collect feedback and continuously improve training modules.
- Ensure training delivery meets academic and NAAC/AICTE quality standards.

6. Team Management

- Lead and guide internal trainers and coordinators
- Evaluate trainer performance and ensure effective delivery

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of MBA/PGDM curriculum and placement processes
- Ability to design engaging training content
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, EdTech tools, and digital training methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Industry networks for collaboration (preferred)

Qualification:

- MBA/PGDM (HR, Marketing, Education Management preferred)
- Certification in L&D; / Training / Soft Skills (added advantage)

Experience:

- 6–8 years of experience in Training & Development, L&D;, or Placement Training
- Experience in EdTech or higher education institutions (preferred)
- HR domain experience can also apply
