About AasaanWillAasaanWill is India's largest succession planning brand, helping families create legally valid wills and plan their estates online. We work with 60+ companies including banks, fintechs, insurers and diaspora associations to bring succession planning to their customers and employees. Partnerships already make up 10% of our revenue, and we're building toward 25% by 2026.
The opportunityWe're looking for a Senior Partnership Lead to own our partnership pipeline end to end, from first outreach to signed deal to a relationship that actually delivers revenue. This isn't a role for someone who wants a handoff to a closer. You are the closer.
You'll work with banks, fintechs, agetechs, wealth advisors, CAs, insurers, HR consultancies, corporate perks programs, and NGOs, essentially any organisation whose customers, employees or members would benefit from succession planning. Some of these conversations move fast. Others take months of relationship building. You need to be comfortable with both, and you need to be able to do this with minimal oversight.
What you'll doPartnership strategy and development
- Build a partnership strategy aligned to our growth targets
- Identify and prioritise opportunities across financial institutions, legal firms, wealth management companies, HR consultancies, corporate employee benefit programs and other relevant organisations
- Initiate contact and build rapport with decision-makers at target organisations
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements on terms that work for us
Relationship management
- Be the primary point of contact for every partner you bring on
- Review partnership performance regularly and fix what's not working
- Run regular check-ins with partners on progress and new opportunities
Lead generation and revenue growth
- Work with partners on joint marketing, co-branded initiatives and referral programs that actually drive signups
- Track performance against KPIs and report to leadership
- Spot new business opportunities inside existing partnerships
Market intelligence
- Stay on top of trends and competitive moves in succession planning and financial services
- Bring insights back to leadership that shape how we approach partnerships
Cross-functional work
- Work closely with Marketing, Product and Sales to make sure partnerships actually get executed, not just signed
- Feed partner input back into product and service decisions
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years in partnership development, business development or alliances, ideally in fintech, insurance, wealth management or legal tech
- A track record of sourcing your own leads and closing your own deals in the Indian market, not just managing inbound
- An existing professional network you can put to work from day one
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing ability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels, including senior stakeholders at banks and large institutions
- Comfort working independently in a small, fast-moving startup team
- Proficiency with CRM tools and G-Suite/Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
