Purpose of the Role :

Responsible for developing target costing, should costing, tooling cost estimation, and cost reduction strategies for any one Interior/Exterior Trims, Seating, Electrical, and Electronics components. The role supports Design-to-Cost (DTC) and Source-to-Cost (STC) initiatives through benchmarking, teardown analysis, VAVE, supplier cost analysis, and manufacturing cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop detailed should-cost models and target costs for any one i.e Body Trim, Electrical, and Electronics components.
- Prepare tooling cost estimates and support Capex planning.
- Perform supplier quotation analysis and support commercial negotiations.
- Conduct cost driver analysis, benchmarking, competition teardown, and VAVE activities.




- Drive cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives with Engineering and Purchase teams.
- Develop cost models and technology repositories for component categories.
- Support sourcing decisions through should-cost-based negotiation fact packs.
- Execute annual cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives.
