Position Title: Asst Manager – Mechanical Design & Validation

Location: Baddi, Himachal Pradesh

Role Summary

The Deputy Manager – Mechanical Design & Validation will be responsible for leading mechanical design activities, validating engineering drawings and components, and ensuring accurate layout preparation. The role involves coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality, compliance, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Drawing Creation & Validation

- Lead the creation, review, and validation of mechanical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and company guidelines.
- Approve and validate detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing and execution.

CAD Design (AutoCAD)
- Develop and review 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of all design files.
- Guide team members in design best practices and tool usage.

Mechanical Part Validation
- Validate mechanical components, assemblies, and systems against technical requirements.
- Conduct fitment, tolerance, and functionality checks.
- Collaborate with quality, production, and project teams for validation processes.

Layout Preparation
- Prepare and review plant/equipment layouts and mechanical arrangements.
- Optimize layouts for space utilization, safety,



and operational efficiency.
- Support project planning, installation, and commissioning activities.

Team Management & Coordination
- Lead and mentor team members, ensuring timely completion of design tasks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (projects, QA/QC, procurement).
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in mechanical design and drawing standards
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
- Experience in design validation and quality checks
- Valuable understanding of layout planning and industrial setups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and team management abilities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 6–10 years of experience in mechanical design and validation roles
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with additional CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, etc.)
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.)
- Exposure to manufacturing/plant engineering environments
