Job Summary The Advance Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of products and processes in stamping and molding , Welding, Platting operations. Advance Quality Engineer to ensure quality and reliability in our new product development process. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality processes, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities

- Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans for new product development projects.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Spearhead quality during product design transfers, leading cross-functional teams using frameworks like Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate quality risks through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other risk assessment tools.
- Design Review: Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and reliability considerations are integrated into product design.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate product quality and reliability.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure quality and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement corrective actions
- Quality Planning & Documentation: Develop prototype and production control plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and coordinate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
- Risk Management: Lead risk identification processes, including Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA & PFMEA).
- Design & Drawing Review: Evaluate customer drawings,



specifications, and CAD models to ensure Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and strict adherence to GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Testing & Validation: Coordinate prototype testing, design verification, and process validation to ensure products meet performance criteria and regulatory standards.
- PPAP & Approvals: Prepare and manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and coordinate directly with customers and suppliers for product sign-offs.
- Defect Analysis & CAPA: Lead root-cause investigations for internal defects and customer complaints, driving Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues. Utilize structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma) to address and resolve development issues.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and track Statistical Process Control (SPC) during trial runs to guarantee manufacturing consistency.
- Process Improvement & Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC, DOE) and methodologies to establish process capabilities and track quality metrics.
- Supplier & Operations Support: Monitor production processes, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to manage vendor non-conformances.
- Compliance & Auditing: Conduct routine process audits and ensure alignment with regulatory and quality management system (QMS) standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.
- Experience: 3 to 8+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment (automotive, electronics, or medical devices Stamping and Molding preferred).
- Core Tools: Deep understanding of core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.;
- Software Skills: Proficiency in CAD, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and Minitab (or similar statistical tools).
- Certifications: Professional designations like the ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-functional leadership, communication, and project management skills, technical reporting, and the ability to drive change without conflict.
