Role: Senior Database Administrator / DBA DevOps & SRE

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our DBA team, responsible for the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and maintenance of mission-critical database environments supporting financial services platforms.

The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of overall experience in Database Administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, Terraform, Spacelift/TACO, Azure Networking & Security, and DevOps/SRE practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and optimize relational and NoSQL databases across production and non-production environments.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and anomalies.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and SRE teams on database infrastructure and automation.
- Perform capacity planning and support scalability for high-volume transaction systems.
- Implement database security controls, auditing, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Maintain database architecture,



operational procedures, and technical documentation.

Mandatory Skills
- 7+ years of overall experience in Database Administration, DevOps, or SRE.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server / MSSQL.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB / CosmosDB.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Experience with Spacelift / TACO.
- Good knowledge of Azure Networking and Azure Security.
- Strong understanding of DevOps / SRE practices.
- Strong SQL and database performance tuning skills.
- Experience with database replication, partitioning, high availability, and scalability.
- Strong scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Good to Have
- Experience with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, and Redshift.
- Knowledge of CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, and Redgate.
- Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of data warehouse integrations and analytics platforms.
- Experience working in FinTech / regulated financial services environments.
- Robust communication, troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
