Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced machinist with robust hands-on experience in both VMC and CNC lathe machining. The candidate should be capable of taking an engineering drawing and independently planning and executing the complete machining process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finish requirements, and GD&T.;
- Plan machining processes for new components, including setups, tooling, work-holding, and operation sequence.
- Set up, program, and operate VMC and CNC lathe machines independently.
- Understand and modify G-code/M-code directly at the machine when required.
- Select cutting tools, inserts, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters.
- Develop and modify jigs and fixtures for VMC machining.
- Inspect components using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve quality, cycle time,



and process stability.
- Coordinate with design and shop-floor teams on manufacturability and machining issues.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience preferred.
- Strong experience with both VMC and CNC turning.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Strong CNC setup and programming knowledge.
- Experience with new component development and process planning.
- Experience with jigs, fixtures, tooling, and precision inspection.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to have:

- Mastercam or SolidCAM experience.
- FANUC or similar controller experience.
- Experience in precision machining, aerospace, automotive, tool rooms, or job shops.
