Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Vrs Universal is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Senior

Accountant will prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role includes reviewing junior accounting work, coordinating with auditors, and providing financial insights to management for decision-making.



Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, process improvements, and accurate documentation is an important part of the daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
- Ability to review, guide, and mentor junior accounting staff, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably within a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.
