- Integration Patterns: Sender/Receiver Agreement, ICO, Channel Configuration, Adapter Types – IDoc, RFC, JDBC, File, SOAP, REST
- Mapping: Graphical Mapping, XSLT, Java Mapping, User Defined Functions (UDFs)
- ABAP: Proxy generation, BAPI/RFC, IDoc basics, debugging. Candidate should have ABAP knowledge even as an Integration Developer.
- Monitoring: Runtime Workbench (RWB), NWA, Message Tracking, Error Handling
- XML/XSD/WSDL: Around 80% of PI work involves XML manipulation.
