Lead SDET Engineer – Quality Engineering & Automation GRhombus Technologies Private Limited Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 8+ Years About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead SDET Engineer to support GRhombus’s clients across multiple engagements and domains. This role is fully hands-on and central to our Quality Engineering services, driving excellence in automation, DevSecOps integration, and engineering-led testing. The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, collaborate directly with client stakeholders, and help shape quality strategies aligned with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Client Consulting & Delivery Excellence - Engage closely with client product owners, architects, business teams, and engineering leaders

- Understand client priorities, constraints, and technical landscapes
- Design and present automation strategies, frameworks, and transformation roadmaps
- Ensure solutions meet client needs, SLAs, and delivery commitments Automation Framework Development - Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
- Work with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, and Fiddler
- Implement BDD using Gherkin syntax aligned with client delivery models
- Design reusable libraries and automation components Hands-On Engineering Contribution - Develop high-quality automation scripts using TypeScript, Python, C#, and Node.Js
- Drive in-sprint automation for rapid delivery
- Support multiple client teams across engagements
- Apply engineering best practices and coding standards DevSecOps & Quality Pipeline Ownership - Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines
- Work with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and SonarQube
- Support continuous testing and automated validations




- Promote shift-left testing and real-time feedback mechanisms Performance & Non-Functional Testing - Support performance testing initiatives using k6 and LoadRunner Cloud
- Work with observability and diagnostics tools such as Grafana and SolarWinds DPA
- Identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and reliability improvements AI-Enabled Quality Engineering - Introduce AI and GenAI capabilities into quality engineering workflows
- Implement accelerators for test case generation, smart test data creation, and script healing
- Recommend AI-driven approaches for improving speed, quality, and cost optimization Collaboration & Leadership - Work closely with internal delivery teams and client engineering squads
- Participate in Agile ceremonies across distributed teams
- Mentor team members and support engineering maturity initiatives
- Facilitate collaboration between business and technical stakeholders Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or test automation
- Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber
- Experience with TypeScript, Python, C#, and Node.Js
- Good understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
- Experience working in Agile and distributed team environments
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and DevSecOps practices
