General Summary:
Job Summary
The Buyer Associate is responsible for supporting procurement and sourcing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services. This role involves supplier coordination, purchase order management, price analysis, stakeholder communication, and compliance with procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in procurement systems.
Review purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy before order placement.
Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.
Track orders and follow up on open deliveries to ensure on-time fulfillment.
Resolve supplier and invoice-related issues in collaboration with Accounts Payable and internal stakeholders.
Maintain procurement data, supplier records, and purchasing documentation.
Support sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP processes and supplier evaluations.
Analyze pricing, spending trends,



and purchasing data to identify savings opportunities.
Work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and suppliers to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
2 to 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Operations.
Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
Robust knowledge of procurement processes and purchase order lifecycle.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate's degree.
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1+ year of buyer, procurement, supply chain, or related experience.
