About The Role

We are seeking experienced software engineers at the tech lead level to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with well-maintained, widely-used open-source repositories that have garnered significant community attention, specifically repositories with over 5000 stars on GitHub. This role involves hands-on software engineering tasks, including automating development environments, triaging issues, and assessing test coverage and quality. You will play a critical role in evaluating open-source projects, contributing to their improvement, and ensuring high standards of code quality. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects that influence the broader developer community,



collaborate with researchers, and potentially lead junior engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess between 2 to 6+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in JavaScript is essential, along with solid experience using Git for version control and Docker for containerization. The ability to understand and navigate complex codebases is crucial, as is familiarity with setting up and configuring software pipelines. Candidates should be comfortable running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is highly desirable. Additional experience in building or testing developer tools, automation agents, or involvement in LLM (Large Language Model) research projects will be considered a plus.
