Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement safety policies:

Create and update safety policies and programs to align with regulations and ensure a safe work workplace.

- Conduct risk assessments

Identify potential hazards in the workplace and assess risks to prevent accidents before they happen.

- Ensure compliance

Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and other relevant regulations.

- Provide safety training

Educate employees on safety best practices, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.

- Inspect the workplace

Perform regular inspections of the premises, machinery, and tools to identify and correct unsafe conditions.

- Investigate incidents

Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.

- Promote a safety culture

Encourage a positive safety culture through training, communication, and leadership, ensuring that all employees follow safe work practices.

- Prepare reports

Maintain safety records and prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and audit findings.
