Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer role based in Ludhiana.

The Safety

Officer will monitor workplace conditions, identify potential hazards, and implement safety measures in line with legal and organizational requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits; ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment; and maintaining accurate safety records and documentation. The role involves delivering safety trainings, supporting incident and accident investigations, and coordinating with management and staff to promote a strong safety culture.

Officer will also collaborate with security personnel and other departments to ensure emergency preparedness and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day operations.
- Experience in Occupational Health, including risk assessment, preventive measures, and promoting employee well-being.
- Competence in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Understanding of Security coordination and emergency response procedures to support a safe and secure work workplace.
- Ability to deliver effective Safety Training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees at all levels.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; professional safety certifications are an advantage.
- Familiarity with local and national safety legislation, standards, and audit requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence behavior and promote a safety-first mindset.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining accurate reports and documentation.
- Prior experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role in industrial, manufacturing, or services environments is preferred.
