Ashland has an exciting prospect for a General Ledger - Accountantto join our APAC Finance function at our Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Life Sciences function. This position will report to Manager.

The GL Accountantis responsible for:
- Check and post General Ledger journal entries to ensure the proper and accurate booking in compliance with group and local accounting policies, e.g., expense accruals, prepayment amortization, etc.
- Calculate and maintain transfer price, IC mark up and standard cost in ERP system in line with company policies.




- Tracking GP% on a weekly basis to ensure entity level bookings are done properly
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process, ensuring that trial balance is well maintained and closed out, e.g., follow up and trace breakdown of key P&L; and B/S accounts, work with the team to solve the problems if any, prepare FAS109 package for deferred tax calculation, etc.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliation and ensure proper follow-up, including analyze expense accrual and amortization balances, follow up long aging items, etc.
- Prepare Monthly and quarterly flux analysis and other reporting under SOX.
- Prepare financial statements and reports, as per local requirements. Keep record of the GAAP differences and provide other statistical reports under the local requirement.
