Job Summary:
The Merchandiser is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the procurement, display, and sale of products to maximize sales and profitability. They act as a bridge between suppliers, production teams, and retail outlets, ensuring that the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right price.

Key Responsibilities:
- Product Planning & Procurement:
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source products based on market trends and customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking.
- Forecast demand and assist in planning purchase orders.
- Market & Trend Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and consumer preferences to recommend recent product lines.
- Gather feedback from sales teams and customers for continuous improvement.
- Pricing & Profitability:
- Assist in setting product prices to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
- Evaluate product performance and recommend markdowns, promotions, or phasing out underperforming items.




- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure attractive and effective in-store product displays that enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with store teams to implement planograms and seasonal displays.
- Reporting & Coordination:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales performance, and supplier data.
- Prepare periodic reports for management on sales, stock movement, and trends.
- Liaise with production, marketing, and sales teams to align product strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role (1-5 years depending on level).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Office.
- Understanding of retail operations, fashion trends (if applicable), and merchandising principles.
