Key Responsibilities1. Sample Collection & Handling
- Collect samples such as blood, urine, sputum, and body fluids.
- Ensure correct patient identification and labeling of samples.
- Follow proper techniques for sample collection and preservation.

2. Laboratory Testing
- Perform routine and specialized tests including:
- Hematology (CBC, ESR, etc.)
- Biochemistry (sugar, lipid profile, LFT, KFT)
- Microbiology (culture, staining)
- Prepare slides and reagents for testing.
- Operate lab equipment and analyzers.

3. Equipment Handling
- Maintain and operate laboratory instruments (analyzers, microscopes).
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks.
- Report equipment malfunction to the incharge.

4. Quality Control
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Participate in internal and external quality control programs.

5. Documentation & Reporting
- Record test results accurately in lab systems/registers.
- Maintain patient records and reports.
- Ensure timely reporting of results to doctors.

Infection Control & Safety
- Follow biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Use PPE (gloves, masks, lab coats) properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the lab.

7. Inventory Management
- Maintain stock of reagents, kits, and consumables.
- Check expiry dates and proper storage conditions.
- Inform shortages in advance.

Required Qualifications
- DMLT / BMLT (Diploma/Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology)

Experience
- 1-3 years in pathology lab (preferred)
- Freshers can be hired as trainees

Skills Required:
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and tests
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer knowledge
- Valuable communication and teamwork
