Responsible for operating pig casting machines and handling molten iron safely to ensure quality production as per targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pig casting machine / pig bed system
- Handle molten iron pouring into molds safely
- Monitor casting speed, temperature & flow
- Ensure proper cooling and solidification
- Manage pig iron discharge and stacking
- Perform basic machine checks & cleaning
- Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns
- Follow strict safety protocols (PPE, SOPs)
- Maintain shift production records
Skills Required
- Knowledge of casting / foundry operations
- Experience in high-temperature metal handling
