Role Description The Reporter role at ACM NIT Surat is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Reporter will cover chapter activities, events, talks, and projects, and produce clear and engaging written content for newsletters, social media, and web platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering information from organizers and participants, conducting interviews, verifying facts, and writing news articles and reports that accurately reflect chapter initiatives.

The Reporter will collaborate with the multimedia and communications teams to support visual storytelling, assist in planning content schedules, and maintain consistent documentation of chapter events and achievements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills to cover events, initiatives, and stories accurately and objectively.




- Candidates should possess clear Communication and Writing skills to produce engaging, grammatically sound content for diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess basic Multimedia skills to work with photos, videos, and other media assets that complement written content.
- Strong attention to detail, fact-checking ability, and adherence to ethical reporting practices.
- Comfort collaborating with student teams, faculty coordinators, and technical clubs or organizations.
- Ability to work in office in Ahmedabad, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Prior experience in campus journalism, content creation, or media-related activities is beneficial.
- Background in communications, journalism, English, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
