CNC Setter - Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare CNC machines (turning, milling, or multi-axis machines)
- Install and secure cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments
- Load and input CNC programs into machine controllers
- Adjust machine offsets, speeds, and feeds
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical blueprints
- Inspect first-off parts using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Monitor machine performance during production
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make corrections
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow health and safety regulations

- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of CNC programming basics (e.g., G-code)
- Strong understanding of machining processes




- Familiarity with quality control procedures
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Technical qualification or apprenticeship in machining (preferred)
