Role Overview

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day restaurant operations during assigned shifts. The role focuses on floor supervision, team coordination, guest experience, speed of service, hygiene standards, and operational discipline.

You will lead from the front during busy service hours and ensure the team delivers high-energy hospitality while maintaining operational systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesShift Operations
- Manage opening, mid-shift, and closing operations
- Ensure all checklists and SOPs are followed properly
- Monitor dine-in flow, waiting, reservations, and table turnover
- Handle rush-hour execution and maintain service speed
- Coordinate between kitchen and service teams during live operations
- Ensure restaurant readiness before service begins

Team Supervision
- Supervise Service Directors, Food Runners, and Stewards during shifts
- Allocate sections and responsibilities before service




- Conduct pre-shift briefings and energy checks
- Maintain discipline, grooming, punctuality, and floor standards
- Assist in training new team members
- Escalate operational or team issues to management

Guest Experience
- Ensure every table receives attentive and quick service
- Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally
- Support upselling initiatives and average bill value targets
- Monitor table feedback and recovery situations
- Build positive guest interactions and floor energy

Operational Control
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained
- Coordinate with kitchen for stock shortages or item availability
- Monitor POS billing accuracy and service coordination
- Support inventory checks and operational reporting when required
- Ensure music, lighting, AC, and ambience standards are maintained during service
