As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the API Marketplace group in Consumer and community banking Technology, you’ll serve in a leadership role to help build, coach and lead an agile team to solve complex problems at scale. As an expert in your field, your insights will influence planning and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionality.

Job responsibilities
- Provides direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers, as well as guidance to product and business teams
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of agility, firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills




- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
- Solid communicator, with experience of engaging with leadership/stakeholders & Full stack developer experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate.
- Experience in agile product development and managing technologists & Strong understanding of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Advanced knowledge of Java and experience of utilizing co-pilot or similar AI development tools
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including QA automation
- Experience with Public Cloud & Database technologies (AWS)
