Job Description - QC Chemist / Quality Control Executive

Company: True Story Organics (Division of Gulab Oil and Food Ahmedabad Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Kadi, Mehsana, Gujarat

Role Summary:
The QC Chemist will be responsible for ensuring quality, safety, and compliance of organic food products including salts, sweeteners, pulses, millets, dry fruits, and spices, in line with FSSAI standards and internal quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality checks of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods
- Perform physical, chemical, and basic microbiological tests as applicable
- Ensure product quality for organic pink salt, jaggery powder, brown sugar, peanuts, millets, pulses, dry fruits, and whole spices
- Verify moisture content, purity, appearance, taste, odor, and contamination parameters
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, organic food standards, labeling norms, and hygiene practices
- Maintain QC records, test reports, COAs, batch-wise documentation,



and traceability
- Monitor packing, storage conditions, and shelf-life standards of products
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and packing teams to resolve quality issues
- Handle customer complaints related to quality and support corrective/preventive actions
- Support audits, inspections, certifications, and regulatory documentation

Requirements:
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Food Technology, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in QC within food processing / organic food / FMCG industry
- Working knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food safety, and quality standards
- Experience with dry foods, spices, pulses, or organic products preferred
- Attention to detail, documentation skills, and quality-focused mindset

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
