Position Overview

The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence dashboards and data models that support decision‑making across the organization. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, and leadership to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dashboard & Report Development
- Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that visualize KPIs, trends, and operational performance.
- Create intuitive layouts, drill‑downs, and user‑friendly navigation.
- Ensure reports are optimized for performance and refresh reliability.

2. Data Modeling & ETL
- Develop and maintain data models using DAX and Power Query.
- Clean, transform, and structure data from multiple sources (ERP, CMMS, SQL databases, Dataverse, Excel, cloud systems).
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

3. Business Requirements Gathering
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Document KPIs, data definitions,



and business rules.
- Provide recommendations on how to improve data visibility and decision‑making.

4. Data Governance & Security
- Implement row‑level security and manage user access.
- Maintain documentation for datasets, refresh schedules, and data lineage.
- Ensure compliance with company data policies.

5. Continuous Improvement & Support
- Monitor dashboard performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Train end‑users on how to navigate and interpret reports.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service:
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Robust analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abi
