Fluence is seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded Mechanical Design Engineer - CADto join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of our cutting-edge energy storage products, with a strong focus on mechanical engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop parametric 3D CAD models in PTC Creofor current enclosure designs, including engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
- Manage large assembly CAD data within PLM softwareand ensure design integrity.
- Design mechanical systems including sheet metal components, weldments, and standard elements.
- Create and review detailed manufacturing drawings with strong GD&Tand; tolerance stack-up analysis skills.
- Drive product development from concept through prototyping, final design, and manufacturing.
- Provide engineering feedback on design improvements, material selection, cost optimization, and problem resolution.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ANSI/ISO/ASME).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Program Management,



Electrical Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering) to deliver successful large-scale energy storage projects.
- Present and defend design solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into the design cycle.
- Lead a team of 2-5 design engineers to deliver high-quality designs, 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experiencein CAD engineering.
- Expertise in Creo (8.0 or above)and AutoCAD.
- Strong ability to create, modify, and analyze 3D models and assemblies for functionality and manufacturability.
- Ability to perform Quality check in 3D model and 2D drawings for Optimized design functionality and DFMA.
- Proficiency in Windchill/SAP PLM, BOM management, and product design control.
- Experience in enclosure/cabinet structures, cooling systems (air and liquid), and batter
