The Assistant Professor in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, supporting clinical training in operation theatre settings, and contributing to academic, research, and administrative activities within the institution.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Duties
- Anaesthesia techniques
- Operation theatre procedures
- Patient monitoring
- Surgical instrumentation
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments
- Conduct practical and simulation-based training for students
- Evaluate student performance (theory & clinical)
2. Clinical Training & Supervision
- Supervise students in operation theatres during clinical postings
- Train students in:
- Pre-operative and post-operative care
- Sterilization and infection control
- Handling anaesthesia equipment
- Ensure adherence to hospital safety protocols
3. Research & Development
- Conduct and publish research in anaesthesia or allied health sciences
- Guide student research projects and dissertations
- Attend and present at conferences, workshops, and seminars
4. Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum development and updates
- Maintain academic records and documentation
- Assist in accreditation and compliance processes (e.g., regulatory bodies)
- Serve on academic committees when required
5. Career development
- Stay updated with latest advancements in anaesthesia and OT technology
- Engage in continuous medical education (CME) programs
Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Operation Theatre Technology / Anaesthesia Technology
- Master’s degree (M.Sc. OTT / Anaesthesia Technology or relevant field)
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
