Technology Procurement is part of bp's Procurement organisation and is responsible for delivering sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations that enable secure, compliant, and cost-effective business delivery. The function works closely with business customers, category teams, suppliers, and operational procurement teams to ensure that goods and services are sourced efficiently while maximising commercial value and handling risk.

Key Accountabilities
Tactical Sourcing Leadership
Serve as the functional SME for material demand sourcing activities across multiple Upstream regions.
Provide expert guidance and coaching to buyers on sourcing strategies, RFx execution, supplier engagement, negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
Lead resolution of complex procurement scenarios and regional sourcing challenges.
Act as first point of escalation for sourcing-related process, supplier, and customer issues.
End-to-End Sourcing Execution
Support demand validation, sourcing strategy selection, RFx execution, supplier evaluation, award recommendation, and sourcing compliance activities.
Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with procurement policies, preferred supplier lists, delegated authority requirements, and category guidance.
Review complex sourcing requests and provide recommendations on supplier selection and commercial decisions.
Support market engagement activities to increase competitive bidding opportunities and value delivery.
Regional Portfolio Management
Handle sourcing governance across multiple Upstream regions and ensure consistent execution standards.
Provide cross-regional backup coverage and support business continuity requirements.
