About the Role

BrightCHAMPS is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to own end-to-end payroll processing and drive payroll accuracy, compliance, and reporting excellence. The ideal candidate will bridge payroll operations with HR and Finance stakeholders, ensuring seamless payroll delivery while building robust analytics for leadership decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

● Own end-to-end payroll processing for the organization, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement each cycle
● Review and validate payroll calculations received from external payroll consultants/vendors, ensuring accuracy of statutory deductions, reimbursements, incentives, and other components




● Coordinate with external payroll consultants on data inputs (attendance, leaves, recent joiners, exits, salary revisions) and resolve discrepancies
● Design, build, and publish MIS reports and payroll analytics dashboards for HR leadership, Finance, and business heads
● Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, etc.) and coordinate timely remittances and filings
● Manage payroll-related HR Operations activities including employee data management, full & final settlements, and payroll audits
● Handle employee queries related to payslips, tax deductions, reimbursements, and payroll discrepancies ● Maintain and update payroll records in Zoho (Zoho People/Zoho Payroll or equivalent Zoho HR modules)
● Support monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reconciliations and audits (internal/external/statutory)
● Partner with Finance for payroll cost accruals, budgeting inputs, and general ledger reconciliations
