1. Inventory Management
- Maintain stock of boards (plywood, MDF, laminates), hardware (hinges, channels, screws), accessories, and fittings
- Track inward/outward material entries daily
- Maintain minimum stock levels to avoid site delays
- Conduct regular physical stock audits vs system records
2. Material Receiving & Inspection
- Check incoming materials against purchase orders
- Verify quantity, quality, finish, and specifications
- Report damaged/short supplies immediately
- Coordinate with procurement/vendor for replacements
3. Issue of Materials to Site / Production
- Issue materials as per cutting list / site requirement
- Maintain proper documentation (issue slips, challans)
- Ensure correct material goes to correct project/site
- Avoid wastage and over-issuance
4. Coordination with Teams
- Work closely with:
- Designers (for BOQs and specifications)
- Site supervisors (for daily requirements)
- Factory/carpentry team (for production needs)
- Ensure smooth material flow between warehouse and site
6. Warehouse Organization
- Proper stacking and labeling of materials
- Ensure safety (especially for glass, laminates, hardware)
- Maintain cleanliness and accessibility
7. Cost & Wastage Control
- Monitor material usage vs project BOQ
- Highlight excess consumption or shortages
- Reduce breakage, pilferage, and dead stock
8. Vendor & Purchase Support
- Assist procurement with stock requirements
- Share reorder levels and quick-moving items
- Help in vendor coordination during deliveries
Key Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of interior materials (ply, laminates, hardware)
- Strong record-keeping and attention to detail
- Basic computer/ERP knowledge (Excel is a must)
- Coordination and communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure (multiple sites/projects)
