Job Summary:
The India Legal Attorney serves as an integral member of the India Legal Team with responsibility for ensuring the provision of qualified legal assistance and advice in a wide variety of areas with a focus on supporting in corporate advisories, compliances, dispute resolution and litigation processes. The position is charged with assisting the India Legal team in corporate compliances, resolution of legal and contract matters.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists India Contracts Manager in advising India Management and actively involved in India business plans, growth strategies and operations as part of the INM Legal Team;
- Independently drafts, reviews, and negotiates legal and commercial documents;
- Handles pre -contractual disputes;
- Support in litigation management along with liaising with external counsels;
- Effectively interacts with other India support functions and departments ensuring involvement in matters that may give rise to legal exposure;
- Assists in providing guidance and assistance to ensure all operations and business activities related to India are carried out in compliance with local laws and regulations and the SLB Code of Conduct;
- Assists in compliance with Companies Act 2013, FEMA, DPDP Act, Competition Law, Labour laws etc. including liaising with external experts and ensuring timely corporate filings;
- Assists in the provision of legal and contracts training for operations, other functions, and Management in India;
- Conduct research as requested by other members of the INM Legal team in ensuring compliance with all the applicable laws;
- Assists, develops, and implements specific procedures, guidelines, workflows, and templates;
- Elevates key issues to management in a timely manner.
