The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for assisting cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. They ensure proper functioning of cath lab equipment, maintain sterile conditions, and provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Key Responsibilities1. Procedure Assistance
- Assist cardiologists during procedures like:
- Coronary Angiography
- Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Pacemaker Implantation
- Cardiac Catheterization
- Other Cardiac Case
- Prepare and arrange instruments, catheters, and consumables.
- Monitor patient vitals during procedures.

2. Equipment Handling
- Operate cath lab machines (C-arm, monitors, injectors).
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of equipment.
- Report any malfunction immediately.

3. Patient Care
- Prepare patients before procedures (consent, shaving, positioning).
- Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols.
- Assist in post-procedure care and shifting of patients.

4. Documentation & Records
- Maintain procedure records and reports.
- Ensure proper billing details of consumables used.




- Update patient data in hospital systems.

5. Safety & Compliance
- Follow radiation safety protocols.
- Adhere to biomedical waste management guidelines.
- Maintain hygiene and infection control standards.

6. Inventory Management
- Maintain stock of cath lab consumables.
- Inform in advance for shortages.
- Ensure proper storage of sterile items.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Cath Lab Technology / Cardiac Care Technology
- B.Sc. in Medical Technology

Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Cath Lab (preferred)

Skills Required:
- Knowledge of cardiac procedures
