Position Title:Research Scientist - Invitro biology (Toxicology)Level:E1-E4Reporting to (Title):Group Leader - Invitro BiologyPosition Purpose:
- The role holder shall report to the Group Leader and shall be responsible for propagation and maintanace of of cell lines & testing new active ingredients against them for the purpose of characterising the molecules for its toxic nature and advancing the identified leads from the discovery to pre-development / development of creative chemicals for crop protection / crop growth with an aim of adding significant value to the business of PI.

Strategic Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of invitro toxicologcal tests for lead selection and characterisation. Expertise in steroidogenesis and genotox (AMES, Chromosomal abberation, cell gene mutation, MN, microsomal estability) test, cell line maintenance, data record, evaluation and interpretation.
- Operate all the equipment in toxicology lab equipment.




- Experise in skills to maintainance of different cell lines.
- Expertise in designing the expriment as per requirement.
- Tabulate results, analyze and extrapolate results data to develop theories for explaining observed phenomenon.
- Troubleshoot and solve scientific problems.
- Document and record findings in electronic notebook/research reports / papers for further dessimination / filing.
- Adhere to all safety / information security / quality norms related to research procedures.
- Participate in process improvement inititatives under direction of GL - Biology.
- Contribute to competitor intelligence through secondary research, participation in internal / external forums, professional organizational networks.
- Update timesheets / progress trackers and submit to GL as directed.
- Present results in cross-functional project teams and work across various projects / programs to achieve results.
