Key Responsibilities
- Raw Material Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and laboratory testing of all incoming raw materials and components. This includes verifying certificates of analysis, confirming specifications, and performing tests for identity, purity, and microbial content.
- In-Process Monitoring: Oversee and manage quality checks at various stages of the production process. This includes monitoring and testing bulk batches for key parameters such as pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and color to ensure consistency and prevent defects.
- Finished Product Evaluation: Perform comprehensive testing on finished products, including stability testing, microbial challenge tests, and packaging integrity checks. Document all test results meticulously to ensure products meet release specifications.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all quality control activities, tests, and results. Ensure strict adherence to Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 22716).
- Problem-Solving and Corrective Action: Investigate any quality deviations or customer complaints. Work proactively to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Collaboration: Partner with the R&D;, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues, implement process improvements, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of product quality.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 4-5 years of direct quality control experience in the cosmetic or personal care manufacturing sector (Herbal Industry prefer).
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Proven expertise in operating laboratory equipment and performing standard cosmetic quality tests (e.g., pH meters, viscometers, microbial testing).
