Job Summary

The _Intensivist_ is a specialist physician responsible for the clinical management of critically ill patients. You will lead the multidisciplinary ICU team, making rapid diagnostic and therapeutic decisions for patients with life-threatening conditions. This role extends beyond the ICU to include hospital-wide Rapid Response Teams (RRT) and Tele-ICU platforms.

2. Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Rounds: Lead daily "Multidisciplinary Rounds" (MDR), coordinating with nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and nutritionists to execute a cohesive care plan.
- Life-Support Procedures: Expertly perform and supervise high-risk procedures:
- Airway Management: Endotracheal intubation and difficult airway protocols.
- Hemodynamic Monitoring: Insertion of central venous, arterial, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
- Advanced Support: Management of mechanical ventilation, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), and ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation).
- Diagnostic Precision: Utilize POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound)



and echocardiography for real-time assessment of shock and respiratory failure.
- Triage & Consultation: Act as a consultant for the Emergency Department and general wards to determine ICU admissions and lead resuscitation efforts.
- Family Communication: Lead complex "Goals of Care" discussions, providing empathy and clarity to families regarding prognosis and end-of-life decisions.

3. Required Qualifications
- Education: Medical Degree (MD/DO) or equivalent (MBBS).
- Residency: Completion of residency in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, or Surgery.
- Fellowship: Completion of an accredited fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine.
- Certifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).
