Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad for a Junior Couture Designer. The Junior Couture Designer will assist in conceptualizing and developing couture collections that align with Chambray & Co.’s sustainable and eco-ethical design philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching and refining design ideas, selecting and experimenting with upcycled and recycled textiles, and supporting pattern-making and garment construction.
The role involves working closely with senior designers and local artisans to incorporate traditional techniques, ensure high-quality finishing, and maintain consistency in fit and style. The Junior Couture Designer will also participate in sample development, fittings, and production coordination, while maintaining detailed documentation of designs, materials, and processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in fashion illustration, technical sketching, and basic pattern-making.
