Regional EHS Director SAMEA - Your future position?

Purpose The Regional EHS Director SAMEA is responsible for ensuring effective management of the EHS aspects within the region. Functionally manage (dotted line) local EHS Managers of the region. Promote the behavioural driven EHS culture, ensure robust EHS Risks management and grow the EHS team across the operations and commercial sites.

Core Responsibilities:

EHS Strategy

- Regional implementation of 2030 Global EHS strategies built around 3 main pillars: Leadership & personal accountability / Risk management and compliance / Career and capabilities

- Lead global strategic initiatives as part of the Extended Global EHS leadership team

Risk Management & compliance

- Expertise in process safety management and occupational safety programs for manufacturing environments involving combustible dust,



flammable and combustible materials, and complex chemical and industrial processes

- Regional deployment of appropriate EHS management systems, standards and tools

- Ensure EHS documentation within the region is up to date

- Manage EHS auditing/certifications and assurance program

- Ensure regional EHS legal compliance to Givaudan and statutory directives

- Verify corrective actions, as a results of incidents investigations, are documented and implemented in an efficient way

- Track, review and take necessary action to drive continual EHS improvement

- Enable EHS best practice exchanges and knowledge sharing between sites

- Manage EHS performance within the region and ensure KPIs reporting is complete and accurate

- Manage Environmental Sustainability reporting in the region

Leadership and EHS culture

- Cultivate and communicate compelling EHS vision

- Ingrain the right EHS culture and ensure the deployment of Human and Organizational Performance across all sites.

- Influence the business organization and gain buy-in from key stakeholders

Team development

- Manage/optimize the regional EHS organisation to deliver added value to the organisation





- Provide the leadership and talent development of the regional EHS team through a functional reporting line.

- Ensure adequate EHS staffing and knowledge at each site

Your professional profile includes:

Academic Background

- Master’s degree in chemistry, food, engineering, EHS or other related fields.

Professional Experience

- 15+ years EHS skilled experience, including a minimum of 5 years in providing EHS support and expertise in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

- Fluent English, other language a plus.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in implementing and coordinating regulatory compliance programs
- Experience in crisis management, risk management
- Experience in providing and developing EHS training
- Expertise in process safety management and occupational safety programs for manufacturing environments involving combustible dust, flammable and combustible materials, and complex chemical and industrial processes
