Job Title: React Developer, Forecasting as a Service

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated React Developer to join our team and play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of our "Forecasting as a Service" application. This is an exciting prospect to contribute to a critical application that provides valuable forecasting capabilities to our users. You will work within an agile environment, collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver a high-quality, performant, and user-friendly application.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain user interface components and features for the Forecasting as a Service application using React.js and related technologies.

Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces that effectively visualize complex forecasting data and allow for user interaction and configuration.

Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with APIs and data services.

Contribute to the design and implementation of effective state management solutions for the application.

Identify and address performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience, especially when dealing with large datasets.

Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following established best practices.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.

Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional user interfaces.





Assist in the deployment and monitoring of the front-end application.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the React ecosystem and front-end development.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in the existing application codebase.

Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a React Developer with a strong portfolio of front-end development projects.

In-depth knowledge of React.js, including its core principles, hooks, and component lifecycle.

Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

Experience with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, Vite).

Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.

Understanding of responsive design principles and experience building applications that work across various devices and browsers.

Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Bonus Points

Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Chart.js, D3.js, Highcharts).

Familiarity with time-series data handling and forecasting concepts.

Experience with TypeScript.

Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme).

Experience with agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
