Contractor's Role: Senior Backup Engineer
Experience Level: Level 2
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.
Must have skills:
Overall/Relevant – 6+ years
6+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise backup platforms (e.g., Cohesity, Dell Data Domain).
At least 3 years in designing and implementing enterprise class backup solutions for a large company
Deep knowledge of backup, recovery, and data replication technologies across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
Experience with scripting and automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
Solid understanding of storage systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Proven experience supporting DR scenarios and backup failover testing 6. Nice to Haves:
Knowledge of related technologies like VMWare, Windows, Unix/Linux, and databases is preferred.
